John Gregory Collinge (born 10 May 1939) is a former president of the New Zealand National Party and High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
Collinge was born in the Hastings suburb of Mahora in 1939.[1] He obtained an LLB from the University of Auckland in 1962, and a masters degree from Oxford University.[2]
He has lectured law at the University of Leeds and commercial law at the University of Melbourne.[2] He was the president of the National Party from 1989 to 1994. He was then appointed High Commissioner to the United Kingdom from 1994 to 1997.[2] He is a self-declared monarchist.[3]
